Confidentiality

Information about your treatment remains confidential and no information is released to insurance companies, attorneys, or others without written consent from you. Certain court orders, however, obligate direct release of records. We will make every effort to notify you should a court demand records. Our staff is held to the highest standards of confidentiality.

Office Policies

For their safety and protection, we do not allow unattended children in the waiting room. In order to keep our offices as pleasant as possible for you, we ask that you do not bring food or beverages into the waiting room. Additionally, please turn off your cell phone during therapy, and when at the Check-In and Check-Out window. Thank you in advance for your co-operation.

Financial Policy

Payment is required at the time of service. We will accept assignment of insurance benefits in which case you will pay the deductibles and co-payments directly to your provider at time of service. Payment can be made with Check, cash, Visa, or Master card. Your insurance coverage is a contract between you and your insurance company. We will make every effort to verify benefits prior to your appointment and to collect from your insurance company for services. However, the ultimate liability lies with the patient.

Appointment Scheduling

We operate on an appointment-only basis. Each practitioner has a unique schedule offering different days and hours. You are requested to contact the office 24 hours in advance to cancel a scheduled appointment, so that time can be offered to someone else. You will be charged if an appointment is not cancelled 24 hours in advance. This fee cannot be billed to insurance.

Emergencies

When the office is closed, do not hesitate to call us if an emergency arises. An emergency is typically a crisis situation that cannot wait until the following business day for a response. An answering service covers our office telephone at those times and will relay your message to your therapist. If your therapist is not available, another member of the professional staff will respond to your call. In an severe emergency, please go to the nearest hospital emergency room and ask to see a psychiatrist who will contact your therapist.
